Frames without skin and human soul, but still with their timeless connection of the collective memory.

'Echos' is set in a ruin, with architectural lines of disappeared structures and dates of frozen elements. They are frames without skin and human soul, yet with their timeless connection of collective memory. It gives a pulsating effect.

What inspired me:
During a museum visit I saw a harpsichord in a corner. It stood there as one of the many objects, without sound with only its casing, public sound flowed in through an open window. I came to the thought that nowadays pretty much everything is digitized and arranged as objects. Only public life is still somewhat analogous.
That moment gave me the inspiration for 'Echos' as a stationary repetitive effect.

I looked for elements that have disappeared and used them as material, always with thoughts of transience with its fragments that remain as data.
But is there a transience, because there is also such a thing as a collective / cultural memory.

Some elements I used:
- A ruin with its missing layers.
- Human remains as frames without a home and soul.
- I have processed several fraces of K87 B minor for harpsichord by Domenico Scarlatti (1685-1757) into new data.
- Pianist Vladimir Horowitz performed this work regularly, the last romantic, his approach is that each note stands alone but also in the whole, he dared to stop time.
- Surrounding sound as a remaining public analog (not digitized) in a continuum.
- A window from the Dutch museum De Pont, Tilburg.
- The light from outside.
