It becomes clear from the Chamber Opera 'Peripteron' that Frankhuijzen has an interest in early music.
In this work the performers are confronted with the mythical stratification throughout thecenturies. An opera in which sacral rituals as well as contemporary complexity merge into one sole sound. It is one great winged tour through the temple of Esklepios.

Frankhuijzen turns the rules in his G-minor project. He has composed new contemporary parts for violin, viola and cello and Bach's violin sonata becomes a stringquartet.
